NURSERY CLOSED DUE TO SNOW- 24th FEBRUARY 2020

Due to heavy morning snowfall and traffic problems we have taken the decision to close the nursery for today.

We hope to reopen tomorrow morning as usual.

Diwali Celebrations

The nursery children had a great time learning about Diwali, the Festival of Light. They each created their own diva lamp from clay which they brought into the hall on Friday where they had their very own celebration. The children listened to music and tried a range of different food for snack, all to the light of their beautiful diva lamps.

We hope you have enjoyed sharing the nursery book lending library with our special visitor “The Gruffalo”.

Keep a look out around nursery for the Gruffalo, he loves to read our library books all around the building…

Don’t forget to stamp your library card each time you borrow a book, to be in with a chance of winning a special prize this term. More information on this reward scheme is available in nursery.

If you have a smartphone (Android or iPhone) you can download OurSchoolsApp from Google Play Android or the Apple Store for FREE.

When we update OurSchoolsApp with new information or news about Rosemary Lane Nursery School, a push notification will be sent to your device to inform you of this update.

Instructions for download:

  1. Using your device (iPad, iPhone, smart pad, tablet or android phone), visit the relevant marketplace for your product (Apple Store or Google Play).
  2. Search for ‘OurSchoolsApp’ and download the app.
  3. Once downloaded, use the search bar within the app and enter the postcode ‘SR8 3BQ’ or ‘Rosemary Lane Nursery School’.
  4. Hit the search button.
  5. Once you see Rosemary Lane Nursery School displayed, please select it.
  6. Confirm your choice by pressing ‘OK’.
  7. You will now have the school’s app on your device.

If you get a prompt to turn on notifications/prompt a sync with your calendar, please accept these. This way, you will get the most out of the app.

Car Park & Traffic Consultation

The Community Economic Development Team is working to improve the safety, access, parking and traffic flow, for
residents, parents, visitors and staff of the Nursery School.

We would like to hear your views on our proposals to improve the safety especially for parents/guardians and
nursery children at peak times, pick-up and drop-off, congestion and on street parking obstruction for residents.

Officers from the CED Team will be on site between 8.30am – 12.00noon on Wednesday 10th July 2019 to answer any queries you may have.

FARM visit for White, Green, Purple, Yellow, Orange and Red teddy groups 20th May 2019

The older nursery children are all invited to join us with a parent/carer for a fulfilled family visit to Tweddle Farm.

To be able to support the children and make the most of the activities on the farm we have decided to make this into a family trip. We will have full use of the farm facilities for this day. Parents can bring along younger siblings and pay for their entry on the gate.

Gardening Day – Thursday 16th May 2019, 8.45-10am

Parents, carers, grandparents, aunts and uncles are all invites to come along to help the children prepare the nursery garners for summer. We will be setting up the greenhouse, spring cleaning the driveway, planting the containers and decorating pots. It will be a busy hour followed by a thank you cuppa and slice of homemade cake.

All garden donations are welcome but not essential.
